.

Intimate eatery featuring Mediterranean-influenced gourmet sandwiches, salads, and tapas.

One of the coziest cafes with the best patio in downtown Montreal is Café Vasco da Gama. is a must-try destination. This Mediterranean-influenced restaurant offers gourmet sandwiches, breakfast croissants, cappuccinos, and the best café lattes on Peel Street. I have visited this establishment several times and have always enjoyed my experiences.

One notable advantage of Café Vasco da Gama is its pricing. Today for brunch, I ordered a vegetarian omelet and a large cappuccino. The cost was around $20, which is a rare amount to pay in downtown Montreal. Additionally, Café Vasco da Gama boasts a lovely outdoor patio that provides a view of Peel Street. I had the pleasure of enjoying my meal on this fantastic patio, making for an experience that truly couldn’t be better.

The décor at Café Vasco da Gama is distinctive, featuring a beautiful interior with striking blue accents. The decorative tiles and fixtures contribute to the café's Eurocentric ambiance, making it the perfect place for Saturday morning brunch.

During my last visit, I chose to sit outside on the patio as it was a lovely summer day. I found the ordering process to be straightforward. To place your order, you need to go inside, pay, and inform the waitress of your table number. Thereafter, your order will be delivered to your table.

The breakfast menu at Café Vasco da Gama offers items such as bagels, omelets, hot coffee, and more. I ended up ordering the vegetable omelet and a large cappuccino. The vegetable omelet came with a side of toast and fruit. My total was only $18 before tax, which is not common for downtown Montreal. The average cost of breakfast starts at $20 and up.
